In 2010, IOC decided to repaint its tanks used to store liquid calcium chloride in Sept-Îles, a few hundred meters from the St. Lawrence River, in a salty coastal environment.
The surface was prepared with a 20,000 lb pressure water jet, then Rust-Anode Primer was applied, along with a white polyurethane paint.
Photos of the finished tanks were taken 12 years after completion.
